246 rooms
Standard (25m2) - 200 rooms:far from the beach; some communicating are ideal for families.
Superior (35m2) - 46 rooms:
closer to the beach. Each can accommodate a family of four (two children under 12); for the kids: sofa-beds or convertible armchairs.
Royal Suites - in the northern part of the resort:
the two 78m2 Royal Suites Bougainvillea and Flamboyant - each occupy a larger cottage.
All rooms and suites have bathroom, air-conditioner , TV with satellite channels, mini-bar, complimentary facilities for tea/coffee.
With their own private garden and close to the heart of the resort, they open onto the palm-grove and the sea.
Restaurants at La Pirogue Resort****
Thatches:
tropical main restaurant provides a great energy-and-vitamin start to the day, opening onto the garden or overlooking its decorative pool.
In the evening, from 19:30 to 22:00, Thatches showcases demonstrative world cuisine for a totally new dining experience.
Paul et Virginie Restaurant
sea view restaurant; lunchtime from 12:30 to 14:30, it offers delicious authentic local cuisine as well as a whole range of exotic preparations of Creole dishes, smoked marlin with heart of palm, sea-bream in lime sauce, tandoori lamb, grilled crayfish, and traditional ‘kulfi’ ice-cream.
In the evening as from 19:30, it offers seafood, grills and smoked dishes. The wine list includes a variety of South African and New World wines.
Citronella-s cafe :
facing the sea, between La Pirogue and Sugar Beach Resort, guests can savour the delights of the Mediterranean’s sunny cuisines. The mouth-watering offering ranges from tasty light snacks to traditional dishes worthy of the best Italian restaurants, including giant prawns, lasagna and tiramisu.
open for lunch from 12:30 to 15:00 every day except Monday, and for dinner from 19:30 to 23:00 every day except Sunday.
Bars
The Blue Bar:an impressive selection of drinks, spirits and liqueurs of international brands is on offer everyday as from 10:00.
The Beach Bar:
offers the best panorama in the resort, it is a great meeting-place for enjoying excellent health and well-being cocktails, vitamin-packed with 100% fruit or vegetable juices. Also on offer: a selection of excellent rums, punches and other alcoholic drinks, as well as a light menu including Mauritian dishes, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, and exotic ice-cream.
